Business programmes on the box
If the remit of the BBC is to entertain, educate and inform it seems to me that all they do with their so called business programmes such as The Apprentice and Dragon’s Den is to amuse. Ok, so the excellent working lunch does educate and inform but this is scheduled for viewing when most entrepreneurs are busy turning their dreams into reality. I suppose though we could all use Sky Plus to watch it at a time more convenient.
I think The Apprentice and Dragon’s Den only really entertain. Do they encourage the ‘would be’ entrepreneur? Do they give solid advice on how to make a profitable business? I think not.
On another point – why should Alan Sugar be working in the government when he is unelected?
